The Navy Environmental Quality
Assessment software (NES) helps Environmental Compliance
Inspectors thoroughly evaluate
any facility's compliance with
environmental regulatory
requirements. Initially developed to support the
Environmental Compliance Evaluation
(ECE) program of the United States Marine
Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy, NES has
since been selected by the Navy to support
the Environmental Quality Assessment
(EQA) program. NES can be adapted to
support virtually any evaluation
configured for yes or no responses.
NES contains checklist questions
related to numerous different program / media that
evaluators can use to determine a
facilitys compliance with state and Federal
environmental regulations. Responses
are stored electronically to allow
commanders to review the
deficiencies identified and to prepare a Plan of Action and
Milestones (POA&M) to correct areas
of regulatory noncompliance. |
